Ahhh, vacation

I have had a few requests to tell all about our recent trip south for vacation. I have to admit that the memories of that blessed week are fading fast, but it was more than just a little enjoyable. Here are some of the highlights of our trip to Fort Fisher, NC:

*Sunshine nearly every day (we did have a day and a half of rain, thanks to Tropical Storm Alberto)
*A great local aquarium
*A movie theater and some good movies: Cars, Nacho Libre, and The Break-Up. (We only planned on seeing Nacho Libre this week, but we threw in a matinee on both rainy days.)
*A few rounds of mini-golf
*Excellent ice cream
*Gorgeous ocean views
*Waves strong enough to really ride, thanks to the tropical storm
*Blessed time as a couple... a rare commodity these days

We both missed our dog Tobey terribly. I'm guessing he had a pretty good time on his own vacation at Josh's parents' house, judging by the three pounds he gained while we were gone. He's only about 25 pounds normally, so that was pretty significant. He doesn't appear to be suffering. :)

I'll have to post some pictures. We didn't take nearly as many as we should have, of course, but I think there are a few worth posting. I'm already ready for another vacation... I promise to take more pictures next time!
