This first picture is of our dining room window with its new "treatment." We unfortunately never took pictures of the old curtains, but they were a dark maroon color and just plain and flat. They kept the dining room pretty dark. Josh isn't wild about the sheers, as he would prefer an open window, but I love it.
And this gorgeous photo is the last picture ever taken of our dingy dining room carpet. It highlights the stains quite well. The previous owner had this room set up as a living room, so you can see the outline of where the couches were and the high-traffic areas. This floor was shampooed before we moved in.
The guys are here now to lay our new flooring; I hope I have a wonderful picture to post tonight!
