His bedding, my belly

(Seems appropriate to put the prettier picture first...)

This is our baby's quilt. The set we have also included a bumper and a dust ruffle and ...a sheet, I think. We haven't brought home the crib yet because Baby's room is currently under construction, so you get to see our lovely baby quilt draped against our futon. We're probably going to paint the walls in the nursery blue. They are, at the moment, yellow, and covered with patching compound or whatever that stuff is called.
And this, my friends, is my 25 weeks and 3 days belly. Yes, folks, that is indeed my belly button popping out there!
I was "measured" at my last appointment (the distance, in centimeters, from your pubic bone to the top of your uterus should be roughly equal to the number of weeks pregnant you are). I measured at 23.5 cm. I think that is a crock, that I am measuring small, because I FEEL HUGE! :)

For the most part, I have to say that I have enjoyed being pregnant since about 14 weeks... once the nausea passed. I feel pretty good lately. Josh and I have both said recently how we are looking forward to seeing our little boy, and although neither of us (nor our nursery) is actually READY at this moment for a newborn, we are eagerly anticipating the day in our not-so-distant future when he decides to make his appearance.

In closing, I shall leave you with a short quiz:

Which of the following do you think I've heard lately?
a) "You know, it's not true, that myth about eating for two. You shouldn't really be eating that much."
b) "Wow, you've gained how much? Isn't that a lot?" (Notice I neglected to post my most recent weight gain here, hmm.)
c) "You know what, I think your butt has gotten bigger, too!"
d) All of the above

And the answer is....
d) ALL OF THE ABOVE!!!

So keep it friendly in your comments! I'm a fragile pregnant person! :)

Well, I think you look beautiful! You are still a skinny minney - even as a pregnant lady. ;)

Can't wait to see pics of the babe's room.

people say really horrible things... "wow, are you past your due date?" at 8 months and "are you sure you're not having twins?" are favorites of mine... i dare you to tell people that that was a really tact-less and rude thing to say :)I think this time around I will call people out on their stupidity. Join me in my crusade to stop insensitive pregancy comments!! Just kidding(but not really). I, however, think you look fantastic, and could only dream of having such a cute little belly!
