Big Announcement!

Hi everyone, this is Uncle Scott writing on behalf of Beth.

That's right, I said "Uncle" Scott, because yesterday my nephew was born! His name is Benjamin Tyler Kresge, and he was born around 10:00 a.m., and he weighed something between 7 and 8 pounds.

You'll have to get better details from Beth when she gets home from the hospital—I only retain the details that will come in handy a year from now, such as the baby's name and the fact that everyone is healthy and happy! So for now I will give you what you're looking for: a photo of Benjamin.

I'm sure Beth and Josh will love reading your well-wishes in the comments when they get back home!

Congrats Beth and Josh. What an answer to prayer!

I'm not going to lie, the first few months are tough, but try and cherish this time. Help each other as much as you can, and when people ask what they can do to help - give them specific tasks!

Can't wait to meet little Benjamin!

He is soo cute! Congrats, Beth! Being a mom is the greatest job in the whole wide world! I am so happy for you guys. You are in my prayers as u recover.

Some good hints for the first couple weeks:

1. Let people wait on u. They want to help you, so let them!

2. Sleep when the baby sleeps!

3. The first week or two can seem overwhelming. That will fade. Just remember that he is totally worth it!

4. Remember to make time for Josh. A lot of your energy will go toward Benjamin, but your husband still needs you. Take time to talk, or even just cuddle! It will mean the world to Josh.

5. The book "Becoming Baby Wise" really helped me gain confidence in being a mommy. I highly recommend it!

Love you, girl!
