OK, so don't tell anyone who would care enough to yell at me about it, but...

I took Ben outside for awhile today! It was only.... 45ish degrees, but we went anyway. :) Tobey was having some bathroom "issues," and I thought he might benefit from a little jog to ...um... loosen things up. So I unclipped his chain and stepped outside, baby in my arms. OK, it wasn't that smooth, I actually ran upstairs and put a hooded sweatshirt on my little guy and THEN unclipped the dog and stepped outside, but whatever.

It was sooooo nice to be outside for a few minutes. Lately I have felt like my daily run to the mailbox is sweet freedom in the fresh air, even if it's freezing outside. I am definitely going to do it again. It might even be time for a walk in the stroller, although that would necessitate a lot longer exposure to the chill. Hmm.

Well, tomorrow will be rotten anyway so I guess I have a day or two to think about it.

Your headline on this one is hilarious. I took Vi to Wegmans, the mall or Target almost every day for a looooong time since it was too cold to walk outside when she was first born. Then - the second it was somewhat tolerable - I bundled her up in 10 layers of clothes and walked her everywhere. She seemed happy and healthy after her first exposure, so I couldn't resist! Some people thought I was crazy..."How old is she?" I didn't care. I figured that she seemed so happy to be outside - how could it be that horrible for her! go with your gut. ;)

call me crazy, but i think anything over 40 is fair game... we have been out for walks the past 2 days... Lucy was all bundled up and by the end of our half hour or so walk her cheeks weren't even cold. the fresh air is good for everyone. you just do whats best for you and ben :)

I think it's a good thing. My kids were born in Feb and we were out walking in March. The fresh air can't hurt 'em.
