Mmm... random cupboard find

Do you ever find yourself rifling through your cupboards/refrigerator/pantry in search of some delicious treat to satisfy your hunger? I mean, a delicious treat which you know full well does not exist. I do the grocery shopping, after all; if there were a random delicious treat hidden somewhere, I'd be sure to know about it.

However, on occasion, I do come across something that looks particularly tasty that I had forgotten about, only to note that it expired weeks ago and/or is already growing mold. I have some strawberry Newtons that fall into this category... maybe OK, probably OK, but too old to be sure........ yeah, don't eat 'em. Or how about when you find a box of your favorite cereal that you'd never opened? It's stuck way in the back of the cupboard with the moldy English muffins, you know what I'm talking about. Mmm, you think. I will soon be eating Cap'n Crunch. Moments later you realize that if you are out of delicious treats, you are likely out of milk as well.

Tonight was a lucky night, though. I wasn't even really looking for a snack, just putting away our address book. Tucked neatly into the corner of the top shelf, I spied STRAWBERRY POP TARTS. Oh, glory. They looked good. I think Josh bought them before he went to Canada, so they're at best a few weeks old... but come on, they're in their own wrapper. I ate them right up!
